A Winner Is Me

Today we made a ton of progress. In fact, I even beat our game. I had forgotten we even had a victory screen, but there it was. Esxolus has the first victory. We also got firing, colliding, spawning, and piloting (more or less) to work. Things are starting to look up.

No One Can Hear You Scream In Space

We've acquired a sound guy. He'll be composing both our music and sounds. We need to decide on a level of seriousness for our game still. As far as races and teams go, Kevin is going for potentially space apes or something, but their ships are described as "slapped together". His models will have tiny variations among themselves. Chris is considering space raptors. His ships don't seem to have much of a theme yet, but they are much sleeker. Most of these things won't affect or even appear in the game until well after second quarter, but they are important for determining our seriousness. The models reflect a more realistic, serious game so we went for that with the music.

As far as programming goes, we're still very far behind where we'd like to be. Hopefully things change this week.

Blog up!

Hello and welcome to our new blog. Here will we will be posting updates about the game - Space394, the studio - Grubby Paw Studios, and maybe even members' lives. Our game has made quite some progress, if only under the hood things right now. Hopefully we can start seeing more onscreen by the end of this week.

Our team is now comprised of four members:
Chris Santore - Artist
Kevin Smick - Artist
Dan Wojciechowski - Programmer
Corbin Cogswell - Programmer and Producer

We'll posting renders and screenshots in the future. Perhaps even demos.
